A Recovery Kit is only useful if it exists before the emergency. Print it, store it privately, and treat it like a physical key to your digital vault.

Before you start

  • Use a printer and storage location you trust.
  • Choose a dry, private place such as a safe or locked document box.
  • Do not leave the kit in a shared tray, camera roll, or cloud folder.

Steps

  1. Open the Recovery Kit option in Krypt.
  2. Print or securely export the recovery material.
  3. Store the printed copy offline and away from your device.
  4. Confirm you can find the kit when needed.
  5. Rotate the kit if anyone else sees it.

Safety note

Do not photograph the Recovery Kit or keep extra digital copies in ordinary cloud storage. The safest backup is private, physical, and separate.
