How to Export Recovery Backup

Your Digital Recovery Kit is the ultimate fail-safe. If you lose your phone or forget your master password, having a physical printed backup will save your data. Here is how to create it.

1. Go to Krypt Settings

In Krypt, open "Settings" from the bottom navigation bar.

2. Backup & Recovery

Tap on the "Recovery Kit" or "Backup / Restore" option in your settings menu.

3. Generate PDF

Tap "Generate PDF Recovery Kit." The app will compile your two unique Rescue Keys (for Vault A and Vault B) along with high-density physical QR codes and render a secure PDF directly on the device.

4. Print and Store

Export the PDF to a computer or directly to a local printer. Immediately print the PDF. Store this physical sheet of paper in a fireproof safe or safety deposit box alongside your passport and birth certificate.

Do not save this PDF unsecured on an iCloud/Google Drive account.
