Some sensitive information does not fit neatly into a password field. Secure notes and files give you a private place for text, documents, and other records.

Before you start

  • Decide whether the item belongs in Notes or Files.
  • Use a clear title so you can find it later.
  • Keep private context in Krypt instead of scattered folders.

Steps

  1. Open your vault and choose Notes for text or Files for documents.
  2. Add the note content or import the file from your device.
  3. Give the item a clear title.
  4. Review the details.
  5. Save the item into your encrypted vault.

Safety note

Files may also exist outside Krypt after import. Remove unneeded plaintext copies from Downloads, shared folders, or temporary locations.
